Phil Niekro is a Hall of Fame pitcher and member of the 300 wins / 3000 strikeouts club.  In 1964, he spent his time going back and forth between the Milwaukee Braves and their minor league affiliate team.  Ultimately, Phil Niekro played 24 MLB seasons and his 318 career wins are the most by a knuckleball pitcher.  His younger brother Joe Niekro also pitched in the Major Leagues and their 539 total wins is the most combined wins by brothers baseball history.

Phil Niekro’s rookie card is in the 1964 Topps set alongside fellow Hall of Famer Tony LaRussa.  Over the years he has been fantastic to fans and quickly responds to TTM requests with a donation.  I ordered a raw card on eBay and sent it in bubble mailer along with a blue sharpie and donation.
