Chipper Jones is a Hall of Fame third baseman.  He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves with the 1st pick in the 1990 MLB Draft.  He spent his entire 19 year career with the Braves and helped them win a World Series.  Chipper Jones currently holds the record for the most career RBI (1,623) for a third baseman.  In addition, he is the only switch hitter with a career batting average of at least .300 and 400 or more home runs.

Below is a look at some of Chipper Jones’ career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 8x All-Star
  • 2x Silver Slugger
  • 1x MVP
  • 1x World Series Champion

Chipper Jones’ rookie card is in the 1991 Topps set alongside fellow Hall of Famers Jeff Bagwell and Ivan Rodriguez.  Last year, I was fortunate to get him TTM but he is very inconsistent.  When the opportunity came to upgrade to a rookie card via a paid signing while supporting a good cause, I jumped at it.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it into a paid signing.  The card turned out perfectly.
