Paul Coffey is a Hall of Fame defenseman and member of the NHL Top 100. He was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers with the 6th pick in the 1980 NHL Draft. He was best known for his speed and scoring abilities. Paul Coffey holds the record for most goals by a defenseman in one season, 48, and is the only defenseman to score 40 goals in more than one season. He ranks second all-time among defenseman in goals, assists and total points, behind Ray Bourque.
