Dominique Wilkins is a Hall of Fame small forward.  He was originally drafted by the Utah Jazz with the 3rd pick in the 1982 NBA Draft.  However, he refused to play in Utah and with the team struggling with cash flow problems, they had no choice but to trade him.  Months after the draft, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for John Drew, Freeman Williams and $1 million in cash.  Dominique Wilkins is widely considered one of the greatest dunkers of all-time and earned the nickname, “The Human Highlight Film”.

Below is a look at some of Dominique Wilkins’ career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 9x All-Star
  • 7x All-NBA
  • 1x Scoring Champion

Dominique Wilkins’ rookie card is in the iconic 1986 Fleer set.  Throughout the years, he has randonly returned TTM requests but is very inconsistent.  I was fortunate to get him a couple years ago on a rookie card but it was signed in black sharpie and the card was highly off-center.  I was able to upgrade recently and sent two rookies and a printing plate into a paid signing.  The cards turned out perfectly.
