Ken Griffey Jr is a Hall of Fame outfielder and a member of the MLB Top 50 All-Time Team.  He was drafted with the 1st pick in the 1987 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners.  Ken Griffey Jr was one of the most complete players ever as he hit for average and power while being a great defensive outfielder.  Despite being injured throughout most of his prime years, he still finished with 630 career home runs.

Below is a look at some of Ken Griffey Jr’s career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 13x All-Star
  • 10x Gold Glove
  • 7x Silver Slugger
  • 1x MVP

Ken Griffey Jr’s rookie card is in the 1989 Upper Deck set alongside fellow Hall of Famers Randy Johnson, Craig Biggio and John Smoltz.  His Upper Deck rookie card was named one of the Top 10 Most Iconic Baseball Cards of All-Time.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it into a paid signing and the card turned out perfect.
