Emmitt Smith is a Hall of Fame running back and a member of the NFL Top 100.  He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys with the 17th pick in the 1990 NFL Draft.  Along with his Hall of Fame teammates Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin, he helped lead the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl victories in the 1990s.  In 1993, Emmitt Smith became the only running back ever to win a Super Bowl championship, the MVP award, the NFL rushing crown and the Super Bowl MVP award all in the same season.

Below is a look at some of Emmitt Smith’s career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 8x Pro Bowl
  • 4x All Pro
  • 3x Super Bowl Champion
  • 1x MVP
  • Offensive Rookie of the Year
  • All-Time NFL Rushing Leader (18,355 yards)

Emmitt Smith’s rookie card is in the 1990 Score Supplement set alongside fellow Hall of Famer Junior Seau.  I debated participating in a paid signing, however I decided against it due to the premium promoters charge for him to add his HOF inscription.  Instead, I was able to negotiate a good price on a card already autographed and slabbed by Beckett with a flawless autograph grade.  Eventually, I plan to send it to PSA and have the slab crossed over.  Personally, I believe his autographed rookie card is undervalued and will only gain value in the long-term.
