Ed Belfour is a Hall of Fame goalie.  In 1986, he helped the University of North Dakota win the NCAA championship.  The following year, he signed as a free agent with the Chicago Blackhawks after failing to get drafted.  Ed Belfour is one of only two players (Neal Broten is the other) to win an NCAA championship, an Olympic Gold medal and a Stanley Cup.

Below is a look at some of Ed Belfour’s career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 4x Jennings Award Winner
  • 3x All-Star
  • 2x Vezina Award Winner
  • 1x Stanley Cup Champion
  • Calder Award Winner

Ed Belfour’s rookie card is in the 1990 Upper Deck set alongside fellow Hall of Famers Pavel Bure and Sergei Fedorov.  Throughout the years, he has been hit or miss TTM.  I sent a couple of cards in a plain white envelope and they came back signed nearly a year later.
