Ron Francis is a Hall of Fame center and member of the NHL Top 100 All-Time Team.  He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers with the 4th pick in the 1981 NHL Draft.  Ron Francis went on to play 23 seasons in the NHL and upon retiring was second in career assists (1,249), behind only Wayne Gretzky.  Currently, he is the general manager for the Seattle Kraken.

Below is a look at some of Ron Francis’ career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 4x All-Star
  • 2x Stanley Cup Champions
  • 1,798 career points

Ron Francis’ rookie card is in the 1982 O-Pee-Chee set alongside fellow Hall of Famers Grant Fuhr, Dale Hawerchuk and Joe Mullen.  Throughout the years, he has been very hit of miss TTM.  I was lucky to get him once while he was part of the Carolina Hurricanes organization but never had luck getting a rookie card signed.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it in a bubble mailer with a blue sharpie.  The card turned out great however he did not add any inscriptions.  In the future, I will look to upgrade at a paid signing so I can get his Hall of Fame and career points inscriptions.
