Richie Guerin is Hall of Fame shooting guard who was drafted by the New York Knicks in the 1954 NBA Draft.  As a member of the Knicks, he was selected to six consecutive NBA All-Star teams before he was traded to the St. Louis Hawks.  With the Hawks, he spent 8 years as the team’s player/coach.  On the Hawks, he played alongside fellow Hall of Famers, Bob Pettit and Cliff Hagan.  He led the Hawks to nine consecutive playoff appearances and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1967.  Below is a look at some of Bill Guerin’s career accomplishments and highlights.

Bill Guerin’s rookie card is in the 1961 Fleer set.  This set is loaded with Hall of Fame rookie cards such as Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Sam Jones, Lenny Wilkens and Bailey Howell.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it in a bubble mailer with a new blue sharpie.
