Pat Lafontaine is a Hall of Fame center and member of the NHL Top 100.  He was drafted by the New York Islanders with the 3rd pick in the 1983 NHL Draft.  He was a great playmaker and his 1.17 points per game is the best among American-born players (active or retired).  After 15 seasons, his career ended short due to concussions.

Below is a look at some of Pat Lafontaine’s career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 5x All-Star
  • 1,013 career points

Pat Lafontaine’s rookie card is i nthe 1984 O-Pee-Chee set.  Throughout the years, he has been hit or miss TTM.  For a couple years, he would autograph items with a donation to his foundation but the last time that I tried, nothing came back.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it into a paid signing; the card turned out perfectly.
