Nolan Ryan is a Hall of Fame pitcher, who is widely considered one of the greatest players of all-time.  He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 12th round of the 1965 MLB Draft.  He was best known for his devastating fastball which consistently clocked in at over 100 mph.  Nolan Ryan’s career spanned 27 years and he is only one of 29 players to have appeared in a MLB game in four different decades.

Below is a look at some of his career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 8x All-Star
  • 1x World Series Champion

Nolan Ryan’s rookie card is in the 1968 Topps set along with fellow Hall of Famer Johnny Bench.  Beckett Magazine named it one of the top 10 most iconic baseball cards of all-time.  If you are interested in adding Nolan Ryan to your collection, he does sign autographs through his Foundation with the appropriate donation – details here.  His Foundation does a fantastic job handling requests and items always come back perfectly.
