David Thompson is a Hall of Fame guard. He was drafted first in both the 1975 ABA (Virginia Squires) and NBA (Atlanta Hawks) Drafts. However, he ultimately signed with the Denver Nuggets of the ABA. Prior to his professional career, he was a star at North Carolina State and led the team to its first NCAA championship in 1974. David Thompson is one of only six players to score 70 of more points in an NBA game.
