Bernard King is a Hall of Fame small forward.  He was drafted by the New York/New Jersey Nets with the 7th pick in the 1977 NBA Draft.  He was a dominant scorer and led the league in points per game in 1984.  During that season, Bernard King became the first player since Rick Barry to score at least 50 points in back-to-back games.  Ultimately, knee injuries plagued his career, as he missed two entire seasons and was forced to retire early.

Below is a look at some of Bernard King’s career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 4x All-Star
  • 4x All-NBA
  • 1x Scoring Champion

Bernard King’s rookie card is in the 1978 Topps set alongside fellow Hall of Famers Jack Sikma and Dennis Johnson.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it into a paid signing.  The card turned out perfectly!
