Allen Iverson is a Hall of Fame guard.  He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 1st pick in the 1996 NBA Draft.  As a junior in high school, he led both the football and basketball teams to state championships on his way to winning the AP High School Player of the Year award.  At 6 feet and 165 pounds, Allen Iverson is widely considering one of the greatest pound for pound scorers in NBA history.

Below is a look at some of Allen Iverson’s career accomplishments and highlights.

  • 11x All-Star
  • 7x All-NBA
  • 4x Scoring Champ
  • 3x Steal Champ
  • 1x MVP
  • 1996-97 Rookie of the Year

Allen Iverson’s rookie card is in the 1996 Topps Chrome set alongside fellow Hall of Famers Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Ray Allen.  I purchased a raw card on eBay and sent it into a paid signing along with a blue paint pen.  I paid for his Hall of Fame inscription and unfortunately during the signing he decided to deny requests and I received a refund.  Overall, the card turned out great but it would have been even better with an inscription.
