He is a member of both the NBA Top 50 players of all-time and the ABA All-Time Team. He was a prolific scorer who helped make the “finger roll” an iconic shot.
Below is a look at some of George Gervin’s career accomplishments and highlights.
- 12x All-Star
- 7x All-NBA
- 4x Scoring Champ
- 1996 ABA All-Time Team
George Gervin’s rookie card is in the 1974 Topps set alongside fellow Hall of Famer Bill Walton. While he occasionally signs fan mail, he has a very low success rate. I was fortunate to get him on two rookie cards and a printing plate. I ordered the cards raw on eBay and sent them in a bubble mailer with a donation and a blue sharpie. The cards turned out perfectly and the autographs received a Gem Mint 10 grade from PSA.
